Being in York is almost like living in perpetual irony, because the University is a relatively young campus (only forty odd years old) in an extraordinarily old city (founded in AD 71!). But it is precisely why we are living in such "confusion" everyday that the whole York experience becomes such a pretty irony: old yet new, quiet yet noisy, deserted yet crowded, tranquil yet frenzied, historical yet modern, boring yet so ever interesting. And this is why I love York, though it could never beat Newcastle - ever. It helps that these two cities are just an hour's train ride away. Note: I'm no longer studying in York - I've quit, to return to Singapore to do what I'm born to do. I have fallen in love with Germany ever since I stepped onto her shores. If I ever get sick of Singapore, that is where I will be headed for. I simply love everything about that country. She has seen a lot happen and that is part of her charm. Beaten, conquered, rebuilt again and again, but she never gives up. This site serves as a constant reminder for me and a visual update for my lovelies about my fabulous life laced with loads of earth-shattering decisions. This is a one-stop photo site for much of my life - how convenient, huh? Feel free to snoop around. Do check back for regular photo updates!
